Looking for 5 new hosts with solid 24/7 support and available unique IPs

I am looking for recommendations (or direct offers from hosts).

It's been like 10 years since I've been on a hunt for new hosts in this industry. I have 100 hosting accounts in mainstream, but in adult it's been a while. To those who still remember these the last time I was looking was when webair and prohosters were still popular :)

I need 5 different hosts.

My needs are:
PHP + Mysql (only 1 database per host)
10 unique IPs per host
~ 300GB of transfer AND a few GB of disk space on each 3 of 5 hosts
~ 600GB of transfer AND a 10GB of disk space on 1 of 5 hosts
~ 1.5TB of transfer AND a few 10GB of disk space on 1 of 5 hosts

Those with 300 & 600GB of transfer only need to have solid support

The one with 1.5TB has to have top notch 24/7 support with excellent response times (no indians/pakis) and ability to solve problems on the spot - fully managed.

The 4 could be VPS with fixed resources and some scaling I guess.
The 5th one should be more flexible - just in case.
If all 5 can be flexible, even better, I just don't want to pay extra for it, if not needed.

So, nothing so demanding, yet the biggest one should have excellent support like I am used to from Natnet.

Hit me.

I recently switched to a VPS with these folks, it looks like they can do everything you need. I used their support a couple of times and even their first level support is outstanding.

I use Cyberwurx for their great support and easy to procure IP addresses. Both dedicated and vps have plenty.

small orange only hands IPs over if you use them with ssl

kacy 06-10-2014 10:34 AM

You will find that most mainstream providers have this same policy now. If you had IP's before the requirement change, there is also now a use it or loose it policy. You will be forced to purchase an SSL and install it. or the IP will be taken away from you.

IP's are in short supply and the only real justification for them at this point is for SSL.

Haven't experienced that at all here.

Exactly right. It seems that some people make sweeping generalizations with little facts behind them. :2 cents:

There are plenty of hosts will hand out ip's like candy, and neither an SSL or justification is needed. There is no universal policy of any sort when it comes to ip's at the ISP level and how they are administered, that I can assure you.

Not making a generalization, and you are correct there is currently no universal policy. I am saying there many "mainstream" providers, specifically EIG brands, that have adopted this policy. Since they own many/most of the major mainstream brands, it is likely that checking around with different well known hosts, a person will encounter this policy.

I am not referring any hosts that frequent this board. The OP stated that ASO has this policy and they are an EIG company. Perhaps I could have stated it that way to begin with, all EIG brands have or will end up having this policy, to make myself more clear. In my opinion, other main stream hosts will follow suit eventually, but just my :2 cents:

Yes, there are still plenty of providers that will provide IP's ;)

I know one of the owners over at ASO, and I can tell you that is not their policy behind closed doors. Additionally, I have worked with 150+ DC/ISP's around the world over the past decade, and I can tell you that much of what you are saying simply is not true.

Correct.

Great! Maybe your friend can get the OP the behind closed doors deal then :)

There are many easier avenues to get ip's. They are everywhere. Including pristine clean and legacy blocks.

:pimp

Actually I do have 100 IPs on one host of which I am using maybe 15 for the past 10 years on one legacy plan and I am paying 0 for them. But the catch is they are all on the same host so...

I need to spread a bit further.

I have a few other mainstream ones with 15 uniques on them as well, but they are no good for adult.

Like barefootsies said so will complicate matters, some will not. You just go with those that won't.

Btw, cyberwurx, so far so good. Will keep on adding the rest. Do not fear to recommend more in this thread. :)

McSpike 06-23-2014 06:06 AM

One thing about cyberwurx that I especially like: swift support.
