What's amazing isn't that so many are officially into other girls but that when a girl, especially a fairly hot girl, approaches them to ask such questions like "will you go on a date with me?" "Can I have your number?" etc, their guard remains down... because they don't see much of a threat in talking to a girl.

Have even a half decent looking guy do this and compare the results. I have no doubt you'd see a lot of guard going way up almost instantly, because it's a guy.
