How do I redirect a domain name to go to a different site without using the domain registrar?

I have hosting for it and it has some traffic. I want to redirect to one of my other sites until I get the site up.

CPanel > Redirects

If your server is Apache, the .htaccess file would probably be the best way. Here are a few other basic options tho:

Is a CPanel redirect better than a registrar redirect?

I find that often the registrar server is slower, so wouldn't it be better to add the domain to the site that youre trying to redirect to and then 301 redirect to that site?

Where are people redirecting names nowadays? I have several good keyword domains at GD I'm not doing anything with for a while. Should I just use theirs? Is sedo still around? Thoughts?

I am just redirecting to one of my sites until I get the site ready.

Oh I'm just asking a separate question armysmoke, I need to point some of my own domains.
