Don't be surprised if the charges are dropped but reason sited is incompetent legal representation.

These stories are always from Florida

armysmoke 06-03-2014 12:30 PM

Damn, great judicial system they have in Florida :1orglaugh

MrBottomTooth 06-03-2014 12:36 PM

No charges laid. It's funny how these judges like to throw people in jail for 30 days for contempt for simply swearing at them in court, but they're allowed to get in a fist fight with no repercussions.

That's what happens when you ask for your constitutional rights in 'Merica.

Had nothing to do with the story. You ask the question I answered.

Judge Dredd

crockett 06-04-2014 12:46 PM

I'm from Brevard county and I've had to do jury duty there.

One of the funnest things I've ever seen, the judge gave us all a break so we all went outside. Myself and some of the other prospect jurors were standing near a payphone and this guy was talking on it.

This dude looked like he was hung over from the right before, his tie was crooked, suit looked a mess and hair was messy.

The guy was talking to someone and says.. "I can't do anything, every time I speak the judge yells at me"

We all kind looked at each other and said "guilty" as we assumed this guy was one of the people on trial.. Turns out he was a lawyer.. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Another funny thing that happened, while they were interviewing each of us, one guy says I'm a racist attempting to get out of jury duty. The judge literally crucified him in front of us and made a example out of him.. Not a single person after that tried to use some lame excuse to get out of jury duty.. lol

I will bet you anything this was the same judge. It's been 15 years ago, so no way I can remember, but sure as hell sounds like him.

VikingMan 06-04-2014 01:05 PM

It just shows you how much of a farce out legal system has become. He should be charged with assault. Just because this guy who was attacked is currently working as a public defender does not mean he does not have connections in the legal community. The judge may very well be slapped hard by the Florida Bar Association.
