Who Has a Canon G3?
 

I picked up a Canon G3 today to use as a backup camera and for shooting "snaps". Although I haven't shot any female skin with it yet :Graucho, I have to say this little camera looks like it's going to be *badass*:::

It has all the 'auto' features that you would want in a snapshot type camera.... but also has manual mode if you want to control everything from the shutter speed/aperture combinations to the asa/iso, white-balance and more.

Anybody shot any content with this camera that you would care to post? Any things I should keep in mind when using this camera to shoot my girls? How is the movie feature?

We were using a Dimage 7 Minolta 5.2 mp, and this piece of shit camera I do not recommend. Auto focus on Canon G3 is strong!

It's a G2. That is why I deleted my post. I will be getting webspace soon to post pics and shit.

i have a G2. i love this camera. the movie setting in the G3 is better because recording can go beyond 30 seconds.
however, the lenses on the G2 and G3 compete with each other quite well in different ways.

I had an apple g2 once ... does that count ?

i'm nikon all the way, but been using some of the elphs and have been very impressed (digital). they're one of the few digitals in the low price range that is metal, and they take pretty good features. you can hide them anywhere, to boot.

i've heard good things about the g3 though. i thought about getting one, but i'm stubborn and inflexible so i stay with one system, generally.
