Anyone own a bar, pub or other establishment where alcohol is served?
Do you fill growlers? What are your thoughts on refillable containers and for wine and beer?
|
I think you would have health issues ... build up of bacteria, etc. Could potentially greatly effect the taste of said product as well, especially with wines.
|
Growler fill laws are on a state-by-state basis. At least for beer; never heard of a growler of wine.

There is a brew pub not too far from where I live that brews their own beer (and they make their own root beer which is amazing) and they sell a glass growler that looks like an old moonshine jug.
It seems to be easy money for them because the few times I have been there for dinner just in the hour or so we were there they had several people come in with the bottles and have them filled. They take them in back, clean them real quickly then fill them up with the beer of your choice. |
