I know, right? Kids are hooked on that shit. My kid is 13 and she is hooked on Starbucks like crack.

I don't drink coffee so I just so do not get it.

Agreed definition of energy drink is 150+mg caffeine.
Coffee has up to 60mg.

Most importantly kids are being hooked on those energy drinks like lemondade/soda. They cause health issues.

maxXw00d 05-15-2014 11:41 AM

It's a good start

SekobA 05-15-2014 11:46 AM

That is why it is a great measure that will save thousands of lives in the long run. Like you said - it is so bad that you even feel it instantly. Not everybody feels that much, but bad stuff is there and it is fucking with your heart in a major way.

Klen 05-15-2014 11:51 AM

Also,i am quite sure how there are natural things which give you same if not better energy boost, like green tea and various spices, but that is not so tasty i guess.

Yes,i actually heard one story from one dude which were studying all night and drinking tons of red bulls so he had some sort of heart attack and had to go to ER.Luckily i never had such big problem.
Still,i think they are not problem unless you consume them in big quantity(or you have sensitivity like me).

Aidoru 05-15-2014 03:34 PM

Should be banned along with your twinkies fatties

i seem to have become more sensitive to it and after a night of vodka/red bull i thought my heart would try to bounce its way through my rib cage...

Energy drinks are bad news for heart. Energy drinks + alcohol is even much worse.
When I see people drinking alcohol + energy drink I think - how is it possible that people damage their body/heart/health volunteraly .. Crazy.

starbucks is mainly sweet coffee, friendly for taste buds of kids. Brilliant biz model, get them hooked at a young age this way.
Kids would never take a normal cup of coffee.

romeo22 05-16-2014 07:38 AM

day mix with alcohol all the time..not sure is that healthy at all

Only "not sure"? Where is your brain? Of course it is highly unhealthy. And "all the time", "day mix" - how people can be so stupid?

EngineCash 05-16-2014 08:22 AM

That a nice proposition. Good for the start.. :)

Nobody will follow one way or another. For example,Denmark banned trans-fat and they even got good results, apparently is 70% less of people which dies of heart problems. But dont see anyone else doing same and they doing that from 2003.

People my age (28) are always looking at me like I am nuts for drinking black coffee. Nothing beats a good burr mill grinder and a french press or a good espresso, black as fuck. :1orglaugh

No doubt, yet they are stupid enough and take them.

brassmonkey 05-16-2014 12:47 PM

add red meat (steroids other things)

Robbie 05-16-2014 12:49 PM

It's important that some people tell other people what they can and can't do with their own bodies and lives. VERY important. :(

Also just looked up the "Grande" cup of brewed coffee at Starbucks: 330 MG of caffeine.

Fucking people trying to run other people's lives. It makes me sick.

This is definitely a step in the right direction ...

Back when Redbull/vodka was still a new novelty, I drank 8 of them in a club in Manhattan, and I was truely afraid to go to sleep in my hotel room, as I could feel my heart beating in my chest, and was afraid of having a heart attack ...

Was one of the longest nights of my life ...

I am 110% supportive of controlling access to these drinks!

adultchatpay 05-17-2014 05:21 AM

When i was under 18, i was so energetic.
