Whats better Cablevision or Verizon Fios?
I got a knock on my door yesterday while my wife was sleeping, it was a thin Chinese girl with a big smile. She was a Verizon Fios representative and got me to sign papers to switch over from Cable to Fios. I told her I would need to go over the details with my wife first, but this girl was sexy and persistent...so I figure if I am not interested I will just cancel with in a couple days.
Any opinions on the differences of Cable vs. Fios? |
No issues with fios at all on my end had them for 5 years seen it down maybe 3 times :2 cents:

I'd kill to be able to dump TimeWarner for FIOS.

I've had FiOS for three or four years and really like it. I don't watch TV much, but the internet connection is fast, and as far as I remember, it has never gone down.

cablevision blows. even with recent changes the interface is still 10 years behind FIOS. Be happy if you can jump off cable into FIOS.
However FIOS is more expensive & verizon customer service sucks where cablevision has better customer service if you have problems. PS - you can use the verizon FIOS documents to call cablevision & ask for a lower price. they will give you their lowest price in order to keep you. when you call to disconnect you will be xfered to the retention dept, tell them you signed with FIOS & they will offer you cheap deal if you stay. :2 cents: |

Verizon CS does suck, but you only ever need it if there is a question on the bill, it just works |
Thanks, I could use more opinions, they are not giving me a great deal close to the cable price...but throwing in a $300 visa gift card
