A Fixie. Any funs?

Ima a happy fixie owner and fun of rush delivery movie, so fuck MTB and all the terrain or downhill shit, I'm into city biking.

I'm about to fly to Madrid to get this shit rolling:

I like riding my buddy's fixed gear bike, but I'm happier with a freewheel and brakes. I saw a dude on a single speed bike with a freewheel and NO BRAKES. What a fucking shithead.

Well, if it's a fixie it should be no breaks.
But, safe choice would be having a front break at least.

I've had a fixie before, the novelty wore off quickly

There is no point to having a fixie unless one is poor and or a hipster. You can always leave a good bike in 1 gear. Trek makes a lot of bikes that are made for cities & trails at the same time.

It was a single speed with a freewheel!

City riding is awesome, but you are just handicapping yourself riding a fixie. You pretty much lose versus geared/breaks at lights and up and downhills

It's def for flat towns.

They are everywhere in Barcelona. But give me gears and a fat front brake any day.

This right here, even if your city is flat, there is no fucking benefit other than trying to be cool.

I have a single speed bike, front and rear brakes. I ride all over the area, so it's not to be able to coast down some of the big hills I hit from time to time.

My buddy has a fixie I like to ride on occasion, not something I would want to ride every day.
