SEO Plug-In or Not SEO Plug-In
I am curious.
Since Google has been fucking us around with all their changes, is using an SEO plug-in for WP a good idea or not? For those that are still making $$$ blogging with WP, are you still using one of the SEO plug-ins? I think I read somewhere that using a plugin can be detrimental to efforts to get a decent ranking. And other than trying to incorporate quality content and get a better ranking - if it is possible against the illegal tube sites - has anyone had any luck figuring out what makes Master G happy these days? |
I use Yoast SEO on every single blog I own. You better have one hell of a blog to beat tube sites on any decent ranking keyword. The traffic they get, the insane bounce rate times tubes have make it impossible to beat them on google, but make a good blog, write your own post dont use rss or dup content, get some good backlinks and of course good seo with plugins, and you should do pretty good. Ive got some 1st and 2nd page ranking for various keywords, dont pull in tube quantity traffic but it does make money :)

Yoast SEO plugin should be good...

SEO isnt just about a plug-in.
|
I don't use it, but I'd also recommend Yoast.
Much more detailed and technical than most of the other SEO plugins. |
depending on how optimized is your website and what you want to achieve, a seo plugin will help with titles, index pages or sitemaps.
It's not necessary but highly recommended if you're not a programmer. 95% of sites use any sort of seo plugin and its goal is to increase quality or clean up things on your site, so google should be happy of you using them.. |
