2 join out of 220 visits?
so an affil sent in 2 joins yesterday from only 220 Referrals...
is that even doable these days? is there any way to check if they're doing something they shouldn't be |
Check member activity. Red flag if no activity after signup.
Just email aff and say thank you. Then hope this thread gets burried. Not only is it possible but it is very, very easy. You own a program?
Either a total newb or spam.
Totally possible. Don't stress. |
totally possible........you should be happy for having him, unless he is a cheater of course :)
Just sounds like a guy who is fairly good at targeting his traffic. This is how real webmasters used to be.
Yes very possible I have sponsors converting like that.
go and ban him, then refund the members, and then go to doctor ask if everything is ok with you ... :2 cents:
sounds perfectly normal
...ask him for 180 more visitors...so you can get another sale.
As frequent as the old days=no, still possible for those that target quality/niche visitors over quantity. I'll take 10k targeted/niche visitors over 100k bulk anyday. :2 cents:
find where the traffic comes from.
ban him do like him profit |

Not bad at all. Now the question is, can he keep anything remotely close to that up over a statistically worthwhile sample size, or was it just luck? I mean, I can find many instances of 2 sales 50 uniques apart - doesn't mean that's anywhere near my normal conversion rate. Just an outlier.
It's possible. Here are a few possibilities.
1. Statistical anomaly. See if that ratio holds over time. 2. The affiliate is doing heavy filtering, possibly even hosting their own pre-join page, etc maybe? You should already know what to look for as far as fraud. If not ask your processor and a pay site owner here to help explain it. Basically just look for things which don't pass the smell test. |
Targeted traffic can certainly still convert at more than 1:100, but since OP didn't say it was a new affiliate account, I'm going to agree with deltav that this was just an outlier in the bell curve. If it's a new affiliate, then it's more likely a cheater and less likely someone who knows what they're doing.

Thing is, with 2 data points like this you can find all sorts of crazy numbers because all you're looking for is simple point-to-point. Once to start plotting even say as few as 5-10 points (sales) you'll get a much clearer picture. And then with 100+ you'll have a pretty good statistical model that should only majorly fluctuate from changes to the traffic sources or converting site.

Best i ever had was 1:1 on DDGCash.

If your paying per sign up it maybe a problem. Some members also will sign up and pay more than once too. 2 in 200 Is great conversion if actual but only time will tell.
Keep an eye on it.

you guys recommend me Revshare or pps? switching my traffic to other sites!
way, way to small a data set to come to any conclusion
Depends on many things, If that traffic is from a review site then the ratio isn't all that good. I've had sites converting at 1 out of 30 in the recent past and they never had any refunds. (was google traffic, and only $10. to join site).
It's been a few months. How'd that work out for you?

6-7 figure affiliates know how to pre-sell. |
2 sales is nothing to talk about ...
as said - check members activity and wait for rebills or refunds :) |
Try 4000 unis on chaturbate with 3 free regs. No pay. Then again, chaturbate is free, why pay? Also, this is a 3 month old thread. Why is it back?
