Assuming you depend on google for traffic and a low bounce rate and high retention, for you r sake I would simply leave GA on your site. Tells Google if your site is worth a damn to those that land there. Necessary evil, an edge at least.

I used Statcounter's paid service for a year or two. On the surface it looks great, but there were constant issues with duplicate tracking. They insist it really is people searching for the same exact obscure term twice in a row - both counted as uniques - but it's not, it happens far far to often to be real.
So I found the numbers to be a bit misleading and inflated. Still worth checking out because the rest of it works well. |

I use statcounter free version. I know where my traffic comes from though so I mainly use it for basic numbers and checking return visits etc.
