The Beatles first appeared on the Ed Sullivan show Feb. 9, 1964 and were watched by an estimated 73 million viewers in 23 million households (34% of the American population at the time).

Bet it goes well over a mil.

If it's going to auction, there's a good change it will end up in a Hard Rock somewhere.

If he wants to sell it directly and not pay Sotheby's or Christie's commission, he should contact them.

It's a piece of history, but I wouldn't have paid $1 million for it. Maybe $400k.

there's a fantastic documentary on the ed sullivan beatles episodes, I think we watched it on amazon. I'll see if I can track it down.

I hope he gets what he wants for it!

Impressive, if it's truly original, he sure can get more than the 100k he paid for it.
