I've been enjoying Tennessee Honey. Nothing like a glass straight with a joint to unwind after a tough day at the office.

I love Jack, but for some reason, that Tennessee Honey is a bit too sweet for me.

:2 cents:

Sly 04-21-2014 09:02 PM

Occasionally but usually more of a Vodka guy.

CurrentlySober 04-21-2014 11:08 PM

I think I can say, that at 45 years of age, I've never actually swallowed ANY JD....

Perhaps I'm missing out - Perhaps not, but as Vodka is my 'drug of choice' perhaps I should keep it that way :)

John-ACWM 04-22-2014 01:08 AM

I'd try it.

lock 04-22-2014 01:45 AM

What justifies these batches is it fragments of a barrel in a new barrel or part of a barrel mixed with another. They obviously want to stretch out quantity and have their company secrets i am sure some of the cheaper spirits other brands are white spirit rinsed from bourbon barrels. I wonder if the bottle of JD today is as good as it always was. For the record JD is my favourite drink just wonder how they possibly make enough for the world.

michael.kickass 04-22-2014 05:22 AM

It sure tastes great! Enjoy! :thumbsup

Scott McD 04-22-2014 05:25 AM

Haven't sampled that one yet. Will give it a shot...

:2 cents:

The Jim Beam Honey has the same problem... way too sweet. And to make it worse, it doesn't even taste like honey.

blackmonsters 04-22-2014 05:35 AM

Sorry, but every "new flavor" of any booze always sucks.

Choopa_Pardo 04-22-2014 05:44 AM

JD, yuck. It's far too sweet for me. It's a mediocre product with great branding and marketing. Appeals to a wide audience, but not a good whiskey by any stretch.

romeo22 04-22-2014 06:52 AM

havent taste this one..but it will be soon for sure

BumpUglyz 04-22-2014 06:56 AM

Hits the spot

Vendzilla 04-22-2014 06:59 AM

American Honey started it, it's a Wild Turkey brand and the best IMHO.
I'm a rum drinker, but I do enjoy Jack with my friends from time to time.

AaronM 04-22-2014 08:24 AM

My Wife drinks the shit out of the Tennessee Honey. I prefer Gentleman on the rocks.

I bet when I find it, I'll buy at least 8. The un-aged version came is cases of 6. I have a sealed case plus 1 to display and 1 to drink. I can't see me buying any less for the final release. :glugglug

HUH? WTF you talking bout Willis?

What justifies these batches is a Rye based recipe that has never been used before. Jack Daniel's has been a corn based whiskey with the exact same recipe since it's inception in 1850.

In other words, the first recipe change in over 160 years.

Yet, it's won numerous gold medals from around the world. :winkwink:

For the record, I'm not a fan of the black label jack that most of you have tried. I usually drink Gentleman Jack or Silver Select, both of which are pretty different.

With cola it can be really tasty:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

TurboAngel 04-22-2014 09:41 AM

For some reason Jack doesn't agree with me but his friend Jim Beam and I get along great!

;)

SekobA 04-22-2014 10:11 AM

who doesn't.

Cheersa!

CDSmith 04-22-2014 10:21 AM

Crown Royal has always tasted so much smoother to me, but whenever anyone pours a JD for me I don't say no. Have not tried some of these newer varieties of it though. Maybe this summer I'll give them a whirl.

OK, I'll bite.

No, it's 2014. What's your point?

itx 04-22-2014 03:55 PM

The jack daniels is too sweet for my taste.

bns666 04-22-2014 05:07 PM

JD is ok, but I don't understand all the hype about it.

I like Jameson for daily drinking the best, sometimes single malt scotch for special occasions.

Zuzana Designs 04-22-2014 05:25 PM

I love the Tennessee Honey with Baileys. We're taking a trip the the distillery in Lynchburg in a couple weeks.

AllAboutCams 04-22-2014 06:28 PM

I want to try that one that was on how its made.

EddyTheDog 04-22-2014 07:29 PM

I like Jack Daniels but it doesn't like me - I go all English soccer hooligan on it...

Evelin 04-23-2014 02:01 AM

i like drinking JD but my fav drinking its CUBALIBRE :)

AllAboutCams 04-23-2014 02:48 AM
