I noticed that, made me wonder. but florida has good eatin fish I've never heard of for eating. Just fry it up and pass me a plateful and a beer.

A shark IS a fish and yes thats a big one....I dont eat shark and one that big wouldnt be very good anyway

That may be average size shark, especially if female (according to quick wiki search). So maybe not necessary overgrown/old.

That has little to do with it sharks have a very high ammonia content that is excreted through urea over their gills, when they die the ammonia builds up very quickly making the meat really not very good for consumption, very small sharks tend to be a little tastier but still as a fish they are at best a two on a 1 to ten scale of the quality of the meat, they barely outrank carp

My general rule with fish is that if I wont eat it raw I wont eat it cooked....that includes king mackeral, shark, catfish and other scavengers and pelagics

are you serious? I have never seen anyone keep a carp. I thought it was spelled with the same letters as crap for a reason.

They are popular in Eastern Europe, China and the Jews eat them a lot...

Anyone seen that funny fishing show I think it is based out of Ft Meyers or somewhere like that. The two guys go out on the ocean and catch sharks. I can't find it. Anyone have an idea what the name was?
