Gopros are awesome for filming pretty much anything. They also have a great underwater housing that you can buy that goes up to almost 200 feet deep! And, this super cool LCD screen you can buy that allows you to see what you're filming! Also, tons of other cool shit thats expensive that you should buy to go with your go pro and increase its capabilities. Then, go pro has this awesome feature where the waterproof case malfunctions and you lose about 1,000$ worth of shit. It also includes this other feature that when it breaks, you have a public meltdown yelling FUCK FUCK FUCK and stomping out little kids sand castles. Good thing the sd card caught all that on video though. Went and bought an iPhone case that goes 200 feet deep for the remaining time on Grand Cayman. I have one, but I don't use it under water. It's good for the super and medium wide angle. The only real alternative is a video capable DSLR using a wide angle lens, but size may be a factor. GoPro fits in your pocket.

ziplock freezer bag works for an iphone and is much cheaper than an underwater housing :)

Nikon AW110 is OK for underwater and extreme footage.

Watershot! Its awesome, i took selfies at 100 ft deep! no problems, it doesn't have great reviews but i think its perfect. you install their app, it just kills the battery fast so bring a traffic shop charger with ya or only take it for one dive :thumbsup

my go pro has worked well! The only issues ive had were it acting weird when the original batteries were dieing.

Ok so I was venting here, I take back my prior statement. I took the time to call their support and the wonderful customer service rep stayed on the phone with me for 1 hour trying to fix it. It now powers on and videos but is a little glitchy. Hoping that a new battery will fix it, if not she's sending me a 40% off coupon! GO PRO IS AWESOME :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup
