US, War or what?

How many more chances should the world give Saddam? He has had years to disarm. He claimed he never had long-range weapons! Now we find them.

The "world" still wants to give him more time. All this extra time has given him opportunity to build more chemical and bio weapons along with planning for the same kind of illegal tactics he used in 90-91 when he burned the oil fields. He should have been removed back in 91 for the atrocities he committed then, but apparently the "world" sees things differently than the US on this issue.

What do you think?

We are going to war next week. I don't know why there are still threads about IF, WHEN or WHY.

Miss Novette 03-07-2003 12:06 PM

I agree with you.

We cannot change the decision we made in '91, but we sure the heck can learn from it and not make that mistake again.

There are still threads regarding this topic so more ideas can be shared, now that we are closer to a deadline date.

You said it yourself. Then why start a new one? 100000000000 threads is enough. Thank you.

Nature of a message board I guess. When a thread disappears from page 1, webmasters tend to start new ones so the newest thoughts regarding a topic will be seen.

You asked why there are threads....I answered you. Feedback, if you don't want to give any, well....don't. I wasn't trying to be a tool either, so please don't take offense

Here's what we should do:

- Give Iraq another 12 years.
- During those 12 years, only the French and the Germans can patrol the new fly zones.
- After 12 years, if we go in, France and Germany lead the way.

And if we have another terrorist attack on US soil, we get to nuke both Paris and Berlin.

hust got through watching the french ambassador to the UN makes his impassioned plea for "peace."

the French seem to forget the lessons their parents (and some of ours had to pay) for believing in the goodness of their neighbors.

about 60 years ago their was a fuckup named hitler who gave the world a bunch of bullshit and the french (and others) believed him...

until he took paris.

and then farm boys like my father, and thousands of others led mostly by America, gave them back their freedom.

been there, done that.

i have dealt with camel jockeys (alot) in business. hate to say it, but it's been my experience that they are mostly no fuckin' good. they bargain hard, finally settle on a deal, then try to queer the deal they made at pay up time. must be a cultural thing. it was so bad we had a saying: "want to know if a dune coon is lying?---watch his lips---if they're moving, he's lying." these fuckers can look you straight in the eye and lie.

just my real-world experience.

Can't wait until they unearth all the dirt on the deals that the French and Iraq have been doing.

It's about oil alright, that's why France is willing to allow Saddam to stay in power. They all ready divided up the oil fields. France was just hoping the sanctions would be lifted so they could start drilling.

But that's NOT going to happen. :1orglaugh There going to be on the outside looking in when it's all said and done.

Your kidding me right dude! What chances! He freakin broke all kinds of sanctions placed on his country. Not just sanctions placed on by the US, but by many countries! Also, the US didn't bring this action upon him or Iraq, Iraq and thier "leader" brought this on themselves. Jeeesh, I'm pissed off now....
