my 1st had fast forward only - the joys of turning the tape over, fast forwarding, turning it back over, guessing wrong, doing the process again until you got it right, just to rewind :1orglaugh

mates who had a rewind button were the envy of us poor kids lol

Depends if you were buying an album or making your own mixtape on a C120 :pimp

nico-t 04-16-2014 07:24 AM

extremely annoying video. The kids voices saying the section titles of the video is extremely agonizing.

Paul&John 04-16-2014 07:41 AM

i usually dislike kids but this one was cool :)

Dirty F 04-16-2014 08:22 AM

I love the subject but i had to stop watching after 2 minutes. Most annoying clip i've seen in a long time.

They was there... my father still got lots of those "stereo-8" tapes, and I seen the player in both his old car and home in action when I was a kid.

I remember my father listening to a Elvis 8 track tape in his car with a radio like this one. :)

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 04-16-2014 02:26 PM

Not sure how much they are worth these days, but way back when I was an aspiring musician/DJ, I purchased an Akai 280D and a Teac A6600 open reel tape deck (which are still operational):

In addition to recording long rehearsals, etc., I could make 6 hour mix tapes, lol. Great reproduction values, although tape degrades over time (as do CD/DVDs).

Sad to think there are likely a few young'un GFYers who don't know what this is.

I remember listening to my mom's 8 tracks, and having to deal with Born to Run being split between two tracks.

I remember when I got mine. It wasn't a Sony Walkman, but it was a Panasonic knock off of some kind. The headphones were crap so I bought a better better. I remember riding my bike around at night listening to one great song after another. Loved it.
