honest fight question

The way things go around here is either kill or be killed so with that in mind...

in the other thread where the person was getting their ass kicked would u let him up so he can either stab you or shoot you or would you beat him to a bloody plup or until he's knocked the fuck out?

Libertine 03-07-2003 09:21 AM

To be honest, I don't think while fighting. I just keep beating until I come to my senses, the police show up or some people pull me away.

heart wont save u in a real fight...i remember rollin to the G.O. store to have a lil rumble...everyone would shake hands afterwards and even make jokes about the shit and we were all friends again

nowadays people run and get their piece becuase they feel their honor got violated...God how I wish everyone would knuckle up instead of shooting

CDSmith 03-07-2003 09:27 AM

Speaking for the white kid in that clip I would say keep your mouth shut and walk away. Period.

Speaking for the other guy, I'd have to recommend some anger management shit,

and some training time for both. People who fight like that are the last people that should be fighting.

FATPad 03-07-2003 09:27 AM

When I was a kid, you could let the person up. One guy lost, one guy won, everyone went home alive (although a bit banged up).

Now you legitimately have to worry if the kid will get up and shoot you and all your friends in the back when you're walking away. :(

It wasn't no official boxing match. A fight is a fight. Who are you to say what's consider a fight or not. Ever been in prison? How many street fights have you been through in your life? 5? Black guy beat the white guy down, period. If it wasn't for the other black guy, the white guy would still be laying on the ground.

Sassyass 03-07-2003 09:33 AM

I always like to make sure that the person is not getting up.
In my high school days it was different. We would fight until some one "gives" In a bar scene, I will poke them in the eye, kick them in the balls, and chop their neck, whack ?em with a bottle or what ever I can get my hands on, then casually "walk quickly or run" to my car and leave. I have no interest in waiting around for his friends or what ever else could happen. I also have no interest in blooding up my fists, face or making the fight last long enough to get hurt. If they are stupid enough to make un wanted advances toward my wife then they deserve what ever I can give them, If that?s a cue ball to the head, a swift kick in the balls or a cigarette in the eye.... ohh well. They will not be getting up.
Thank God this shit doesn't happen to me much anymore. Watching that video made me think just how stupid it is to fight.

Groove 03-07-2003 09:34 AM

I haven't been in a full-on punch-up since I was 16. And I'm fortunate to live in a country where it's rare to get shot.

Mutt 03-07-2003 09:34 AM

that's the sad thing, nothing wrong with two young guys with a beef having a fist fight, it's part of our genetic makeup i think to fight for self defense, pride, what have you. But there's no dispute worth losing your fucking life over, and any time you tangle with anybody today you have to consider the real possibility that the guy has a weapon and will use it or he'll go home and come back later after you with a weapon.

just not worth the risk over anything except defending your own life or somebody else's worth defending.

Having worked as a bouncer, I have seen quite a few fights. I can say with confidence that he's right - they sucked.

I am the true big fish.

You done with your little rant, boy? Get over it. My point is that often it is guys that know squat about fighting that hold all the mindless rage for "the scrap". If you have yourself deluded that that black guy is somehow *tough*... you're as deluded as he is.

LiveDose 03-07-2003 09:39 AM

Every fight I've been in (where I was winning) ended with my boys pulling me away. Once the adrenaline kicks in and especially if you take 1 or 2 shots to the head it takes a lot of dicipline to know when the other guy has had enough. I never had that kind of dicipline as a fighter.

I'm glad I don't live with that kind of anger anymore. I haven't had a street fight in over 10 years. It's kinda nice. :)

sigh. Look who's trying to act tough over the net. Calm yourself down, it's just GFY. I proved my point. You and the bouncer are typical net freaks. Just "talk" shit about fights when all you did in your life was just "watch" fights. Don't stand and criticize if you never been in a fight.

Dude, you lack a clue. Really, you do.

Mark 03-07-2003 09:46 AM

People still have punch ups after leaving school these days?! Thought that was only for kids.. I don't know anyone that has been in a fight since leaving school... lucky I live in a place where we only have to worry about chemical/biological warfare and suicide bombers.. :winkwink:

HAHA no heart will save the other persons life..

when you fight you fight with no emmotion. when you start to come down from the rush alittle your heart begins to tell you to stop and feel bad for the person your pumbling..

I have been in more fights then i can count. Some won some lost but in most cases if a person does not have a good heart the person they are beating will be dead.

If you get up and walk away from a fight it means the person on the other end has some remorse of beating the fuck outta a human..

One fight i was in in 9th grade i took the beating of my life.
ripped my lip off broke my jaw fractured my skull and busted vessiles in my eye broken arm ect. where i grew up no one jumped in to stop fights , but thank god the guy felt bad after he calmed down and could not continue..

oh and by the way the guy that kicked my ass kicked another guys ass 3 years later who did not have a heart and he is now dead..

Nasty D 03-07-2003 09:59 AM

If it comes to throwing down....I vote for beating em to a pulp becaues u can't trust nobody these days!

Gunfights Suck!:ak47: :BangBang:

Jakke PNG 03-07-2003 10:03 AM

I wouldn't have even started the fight. But if someone attacks me I just bash them in the face and go away. So far I haven't had to really fight once.. I hope I won't have to either. I'm not a violent person.

I always let the other guy up when I won, and obviously, they got tired of beating on my dumb ass when I was the loser (yes, I have gotten my ass kicked - I am not Superman). If you don't know when to say when, I guess you deserve the corn holing you'll be getting in prison.

Also, I wasted some of my nights as a bouncer - and you don't just "watch" fights, you have to fucking jump in there before they do damage to the club/bar you have been hired to protect. At least where I worked, the object was to get the dumb fucks out the door ASAP before chairs and shit got broke, or a fucking drunk riot broke out. If you broke them up, more power to you, but just make sure you didn't hit anyone, since you'd most likely be sued (so would your boss).

Yeah, really annoying shit - they can hit you, but you can't hit them. Takes quite a bit of patience, getting some aggressive drunk fucker out the door without hurting him.

Dear dipshit. I have been in and broke up more fights than you will ever know. I have spent over 7 years at a kickboxing club, both training and teaching, I spent over 14 year as concert security at large outdoor rock fests, and I worked the door of several local bars back in the 80's. You think I don't know what a good fight looks like?

Trust me dude,... that wasn't one. And I'm anything but worked up here. In fact, I'm laughing right now. Sorry, but it's at your expense.

SteveLightspeed 03-07-2003 10:49 AM

The last real fight I was in (I was 16 years old) -- I had the guy beat, he begged me to get off him, so I did, he got up and sucker punch me, then proceeded to beat the shit out of me. Lesson learned.

Luckily he's a good kid and I don't have to.

Pnc 03-07-2003 11:07 AM

I always gave the guy a chance to stand up and fight again (but i knocked him down again quickly )

martial artists have the spirit of heroes.

Pnc 03-07-2003 11:07 AM

i never beat a guy when he's down.

TOO LOW

Pnc 03-07-2003 11:08 AM

Zun Zu dont' play that.

Sly_RJ 03-07-2003 11:09 AM

I've got a great idea!

Next time you (your buddy, or whoever) feels like beating down some ass, go smoke a beloved joint and chill out. You can't fight anymore without wondering whether or not the other guy has a gun or knife in his back pocket. Or wonder whether or not there will be a knock on your door in the middle of the night.

Life is too short. Just say "whatever".

CDSmith 03-07-2003 11:11 AM

When I was 17 I was 6'3 and weighed 180 lbs muscular..... my dad was a shrimp compared to me, and he was in his mid 50's. He was also an ex-merchant marine who served during WW II, tough bunch of guys on them ships let me tell you. No way in HELL I would have messed with him.

He caught me at the back door one night, as I was trying to sneak a girl down to the bedroom in the basement, and I'll never forget what he said to me..... "you think you're goddam tough? C'mon, let's find out".... my response was to look at the girl and say "well, see ya"

ha ha.

That was 23 years ago, and I'd still think twice about messing with him.

If you have made the decision to fight, instead of to kill, then it behooves one to beat the person so badly that he will never want to take the chance of having you repeat the action. Generally speaking though, if it is not worth killing for, it is not worth fighting for.

Usually someone ends the fight before the fight is really over....usually it's the police (campus police many times).

The best way to win if fight, is to not be in one.

Actually, that's the best way to not lose a fight, which is not the same thing as winning a fight.
