Anyone else making games? (apps) Just launched my second one for Android..

I'm slowly trying to find a way out of xxx as it kinda bores me..

I've been programming on/off for 25 years and now I'm trying to give it a chance again..

I know that making money from apps are more or less impossible - but hey, if you don't try it wont happen for sure..

My first one :

And my second one (just published, so not online from all over the world yet) :

They look like nice games but I don't have an android phone :(

Nice,in what IDE you made them?I downloaded android eclipse bundle but for some reason cant get emulator to work.I need a teacher to teach me some basics.
Also nice idea with making a game based on commodore 64,i think you could hit a gold mine with that as flappybird was, based on one old game as well.I would love to see some c64 games remixed, but at the moment i must invest my money into learning android coding.

They look really nice, too bad I have an iphone and not an android, the math game looks like a blast.

very cool :) you're doing any adult ones yet?

biskoppen 04-10-2014 01:18 PM

I am using Eclipse, but I dont use the emulator.. I launch to a device when I test.

No adult apps.. :)

Sarah_Jayne 04-10-2014 01:19 PM

I'm that typical person with an idea for one but no program abilities at all.

Good stuff.

I need to dedicate some time to making an app.

You need to go for a game engine instead trying to invent anything yourself.. the only way to get things really moving is with OpenGL and unless you're one skilled motherfucker you don't wanna make an engine for that from scratch.. I use Libgdx game engine myself right now, but I'm still very very noobish

Have you seen the new UE4 engine? Supposedly no programming required.

I have a Samsung s4 and my girl has a G2 from HTC. After going to China, I would say anything Samsung is better. I loved that I can plug in my charger into a 240 volt outlet in china with not adapter.
