It says on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/501(c)_organization

That you need to be "charitable, religious, educational, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, fostering amateur sports competition, or preventing cruelty to children or animals."

Yes they say they are a political organisation.

I may be wrong but if your ?fighting capitalism?, is that not a political organisation?

Its just that to me I am not sure they should ve tax exempt.

501(c)(4) ? Civic Leagues, Social Welfare Organizations, and Local Associations of Employees



They can claim they are a social welfare group or even a education group.
