I love this place, especially the fact that people of Quebec don't for for a party we vote against. This just backs up the federal election where most of Quebec voted in NDP because a vote against sends a bigger message than a vote for.

Really all this is, is history repeating itself... buys me almost 4 years of time before I sell my house and move my family out of this place;-)

It's probably pretty dead. PQ lost by a landslide this year. I was watching a report on it during breakfast and the estimate is that only the hardcore separatists voted for the PQ this time around, and they are a dying breed.

Most Quebecers, I think anyway, don't want to separate. They like things the way they are. For me personally, I love it here. I wish the language law could be be relaxed a little, but that is unlikely. On her way out last night, Marois proved to anyone still listening that she didn't learn her lesson. She said "The french language is in danger: Defend it!" or something to that extent. What a twit.

Anyway, this week its off to a nice English speaking pub for a few celebratory pitchers. Woo woo woo.

I voted agains't hate (the PQ), and will always vote agains't anti-anglophones, separatist, rich haters, and left. Gj Pauline!

I was living with this separatist chick for a few months

she went home not a separatist.. and not due to anything i said or did, mostly it was because i could bring her to any party and people would sit down and chat with her in french.. just before she went home, she said 'there isn't anyway i could bring you to most of the parties i go to'

and that admission came from the dude who tried to pick her up in french, starting off with 'you shouldn't date English' with me sitting right there
