To all those gfy'ers who have been to, lived, or currently live in Singapore.
Some questions for you guys.

What is the cost of living in Singapore on average, say a 2 bedroom bacheleor pad, real estate price
or monthly rental?

Food, examples, milk, cereal, a batch of carrots, a carton of eggs?

Doctor consultations..

Yes, I know there is google and tons of other resources, but maybe someone has a different outlook than what is in google and other SE's.

Porn biz in Singapore, do they mind people involved in marketing adult porn outside of Singapore and blocking singapore ips to your websites?

I really can't imagine why anyone in the adult biz would want to live in Singapore. Yes, they've got a fairly repressive authoritarian government, and yes, internet is censored by the Media Development Authority (MDA). AFAIK most porn sites are censored and even non-porn sites that deal with say homosexuality are censored too. The government has taken legal action against bloggers and ISPs for "objectionable" content.

There are technical ways around the MDA's blocks via proxies and such, but you'd still be legally vulnerable, i.e. arrested. So no, I wouldn't advise operating an adult business while living there.

Don't know the exact figures but when i visited Singapore, i paid for a modest hotel room around 150$ per night, pack of cigarettes ~ 5-6$, price for whores ~ 100$, after negotiating from 200 with everyone.

But the MCD is very cheap, eating with 3$ a good menu.

Regarding porn i don t know but the real, not the virtual sex industry, is very developed :))

Had a great time, a great place where you are really feeling safe all over around and at every hour of night.

I will come back there anytime, beautiful women, the weather is warm absolutely in any period of the year.

P.S: I would advise not bringing even 1 gr of weed with you, the death penalty will wait you for a very small quantity of any kind of drug.

Also electronic cigarettes are illegal, the airport guards had confiscated them immediately after checking my luggage with x rays

But it's peaceful than other Asian neighbors.

Which of its neighbouring other asian countries are "dangerous" for visitors ? comparing to both Americas - none.

I was speaking to a taxi driver there years ago and he told me that the place is great - Just don't get into trouble - You go to prison for your first offence and for your second you just 'vanish' - He was really friendly, but all of a sudden he panicked and told me to get out of the cab - I think it occurred to him that I was part of some sort of trap...

That's why it is so 'safe'.....

So, apart from the heat, expense and the fact you live in constant fear it is very nice...

Been there and it is one of better countries i visited and i visited a lot of them.
So clean and nice! No idea about cost of living but as far as i remember prices for tourist were western ones. Not cheap!
