The Russians Are Revolting...

Again...

They are causing chaos in east Ukraine now -

Quote:

Interim President Oleksandr Turchynov called the unrest an attempt by Russia to "dismember" Ukraine.

A Russian flag is seen through a broken window of the offices of the state security service in Luhansk on 7 April
Protesters fly a Russian flag from the offices of the state security service in Luhansk
He said it was "the second wave" of an operation by Russia to destabilise Ukraine and "dismember our country". Russia recently annexed Ukraine's Crimean peninsula after a disputed referendum there.
It's so bloody obvious what is going on - If Ukraine leave them to it they lose and if they do anything Russia will come in 'to protect ethnic Russians' - Fucking Russia.....

I expect we will make them go and stand in the corner again - If they don't mind that is...

wehateporn 04-07-2014 05:46 AM

Either new country or they join Russia

Join Russia - That's already been decided - In fact I suspect it was decided back before the protests started last year - I thought for a while that Crimea was just an opportunistic land grab - Now I wonder if Russia are behind the whole thing...

Of course it's behind it,it's a trick to expand, basically you send a lot of immigrants of your own nationally, wait till they mutiny, and then you "free" them.

Not behind the whole thing, they didn't start the shit; they just had and have contingency plans for all or some of their neighbors - when shit happens, they "protect citizens" by grabbing land and try to justify it with crazy-ass 24/7 propaganda.

BTW, if you ask the Russians, they'll tell you that US and EU started the shit in Ukraine, so that Ukraine can join NATO and the EU.

and they are wrong ? :-)

maidan protesters with guns = peace loving protesters
Donieck protesters (probably 80 % of Donieck population supports them) = terrorists and bandits..

got to love double standards

Russia have way more to gain than anyone else and a history that makes it more plausible.....

In the long run, absolutely; But no, the EU and the US didn't start the shit there either. Of course each side (EU, US, RU) tries to look after their own interests, but only Russia grabbed land.

Good for them, their country got bigger and now they have another close neighbour, who is going to hate them for the next 500 years. Great success!

the propaganda is strong on both sides - as usual the truth is somewhere in the middle

if it wasn't so sad, it would be fun to watch US/Euro media and then Russian media and suddenly you think they are talking about 2 completely unrelated topics

Yes indeed which is why is best for the rest of world to ignore this conflict more less.
Also i am not sure how liberal opposition plans to take down Putin- apparently second most popular party is communist party, and they are surely much worse then Putin.

Actually you are wrong on this one.

RT went batshit crazy, while even CNN was more objective, actually taking the time to explain both points. Their reporters went to Crimea, interviewing people and actually showed that 99% of the Crimeans wanted to join Russia. They also called the decision to ban (or at least limit the use of) the Russian language "stupid" ...

On the whole Syria issue, RT was far more objective than CNN; according to CNN the rebels were all awesome bros, while we all know that they are just as screwed up (if not more) than Assad.

I guess the closer to home the issue is, the crazier the propaganda gets

They will want to get it over with - The sooner they do it the sooner the west can pretend to punish them and then we can resume normal operations - Albeit with a slightly larger Russia...

Russians? Are you sure? Isn't it a continuation of the revolution which was started on Maidan? The one must be an idiot if he thinks that revolution can be controlled. When they started it Kiev, I told it will affect the whole Ukraine which will lost its territories. You must understand that Ukraine was ALWAYS divided on two parts during all its independence. There always was Eastern and Western Ukraine - two absolutely different cultures.

EU is a dictatorship (unelected group). They do not ask the people. The new-Ukraine gov. set to privatize hundreds of state firms, thanks to EU, IMF and US. Guess who will make money?

Having lived in Ukraine a bit and having friends in both sides, I would tend to agree with the above. As a foreigner there and having no beef in this conflict thats the feeling I got. This was meant to happen sooner or later, two very different cultures and I couldnt see how this would work in the long run......

There is a part of the population in the middle of the country more or less that is very mixed, but the majority of ones in the south/east part felt more russians and the ones in the west felt closer to Europe and hate Russia. Personally I just hope no more normal people get killed....

Why ask Russia and not the UN?

Could it be that it is a co-ordinated effort by Russia and Pro-Russian Ukrainians to annex more of Ukraine and once again violate treaties?

It was always a powder keg. The Maidan (pro-EU) guys just brought the fire :2 cents:

P.S. Most people in the States and the EU just have no clue what's going on there. The situation in Ukraine is not as simple is it's being shown by propagandist median like RT, CNN, Fox, BBC and other one-sided shit.

There are no opinions. There are two different parts of Ukraine and they never felt themselves as a single country. The revolution started on Maidan just launched a chain reaction.
