Who has 420 / Marijuana Sites - Would you push this as an affiliate?

A friend of mine invented and sells these. He does very well but no Aff program.

www.solopipe.com

Would you promote these for say $10.00 a sale?

Paul&John 04-07-2014 04:19 AM

looks like a nice product, good luck ;)

Your site took almost a minute to load. I wouldn't send any traffic there.

And smoking sucks. Sell vapes.

It looks nice and I probably would but there is no long term viability with pushing it as an affiliate. Maybe for a year or two maximum. Look at what happened with most of the e-cig programs. It did well for a while but then they started selling them in 7-11s and everywhere else so affiliate sales suffered. As soon as your friend can start selling it on Amazon, Walmart, and 7-11 he won't care about the affiliate program.

mineistaken 04-07-2014 07:45 AM

Why does it have to be junkie sites as you specify? Doesn't it work with tobacco?

You and calling cannabis users Junkies. :1orglaugh

There are many of these prior to this one. So calling it the first isn't probably well thought out. The Eazy pipe has been around for years. http://www.goneblue.com/ezpiallinone.html

There are plenty of these. http://www.woodstonepipes.com/produc...pe-and-lighter

I am guessing he is just having these branded... http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Super...584815857.html

Would I promote it? Yes if he takes down the claim of being first, and gets the site load times up. He would be better with a torch style flame for wind proof. Maybe he is the first and the aliexpress ones are knockoffs. But unless he can show somehow he was the first it isn't the best claim. ;)

Site error'd out :(

AaronM 04-07-2014 09:35 AM

I bought one in Amsterdam in 2007. It seemed well built but stopped working within 3 weeks. :disgust

This type of product doesn't get mainstream distribution.

It doesn't technically you could sell from any blog or site. I just think 420 sites would probably work best.

I remember we chatted about it on here, at that time I was selling them online a bit. My friend cutoff all resellers as he was doing so well.

Quality has improved as they are on 3rd or 4th generation. New colors - Black /
Gunmetal and Blue....

There were also many copies on the market which were low quality. He now is using serial and holograms to comabat piracy - ironic isnt it.

I paid 100 EUR for that thing. Now they are selling for FAR less and are supposedly better quality but there's zero chance that I would pay for another after my first experience. Any chance your friend would be willing to replace mine? I still have it. It's the igniter that crapped out.

Fat Panda 04-08-2014 11:06 AM

fire is out its all about VAPOR nowadays and this baby is the BEST

http://www.ploom.com/pax/

Nookster 04-08-2014 03:49 PM

Server is seriously too slow. Based on that alone I wouldn't send any traffic there.

CPA37710T 04-08-2014 07:04 PM

the concept looks very pretty, but theres a lot of cheaper alternatives on alibaba.com . I'd recommend you to turn the gadget into a vaporizer, like the davinci, the pax or the Atmos raw.

all you need to do is close the weed chamber and create indirect combustion so it reaches the necessary temperature to vape instead of burn.

good luck!

It's not a bad product. But you can get a lot of metal pipes and disposable lighters for $70.

Why 04-08-2014 07:55 PM

im with AaronM, seen a lot of them around at friends houses and non of them work.

i think releasing the product early on with low quality and a high price kind of screwed the pooch long term. i would never buy one, and certainly not for $100 and i know few people that would. its a gimmick at best.

glass is better for smoking, and if the lighter runs out you can fun to 7-11 and get a new one, rather then needs to find fuel and fill it up, etc.

good luck to him though.

Don't kill the messenger. It's not my company - just a friend ad client.

They were knocked off by their own factory.

Bad quality ones were knockoffs.

It still has a novelty factor to people who havent seen it.

Yes they made some huge errors - but salvageable I think/

I am just helping them out - thanks for all the feedback everyone!

If you neeed traffic hit me up we have some mad specials right now.
