"Am I Happy"

I don't mean what society thinks you should feel to make you happy I mean if you stop and think and put everything to one side and ask yourself the question

"Am I happy?"

What would the answer be?

If you're not happy, you should rethink everything in your life. The good news is, every minute you have a chance to change the direction of your life and pursue whatever makes you happy. I'm sure there are some situations where it is more difficult than others, but living an unhappy life is not living at all.

I don't think me, or anyone is living the ideal life...but I'm still happy. I love my wife and the simple little life we've created --- but I'd rather be living in a beach house, playing guitar, smoking weed and getting sucked off by a dozen Brazilian bikini models every day. But that's not a practical existence, even if I could create that reality.

As a United fan, I'd actually be happy if you won the league ahead of Chelsea and City.

I'm happy most of the time, but when i am not I remember what Zach De La Rocha said- "Your anger is a gift."

I have been married for 26 years and my wife and I love and respect each other much more than the day we got married. I have 2 children that are making a lot of great decisions. one is about to enter college for a career in forensic accounting and the other is a year away from graduating with a degree in GIScience and has earned the respect of his professors. His future looks bright as hell.

I have old friends who have been faithful and supportive companions and new friends i am enjoying getting to know.

The work environment i have in the best one I have ever had in the 32 years I have spent in the workforce. I have a fantastic boss and co-workers I get along with very well.

I ask myself often if I am happy and my honest answer is 'Yes, definitely'

I prefer calmness over happiness ...
