A couple of points.First,I haveno idea why Alaska would ever want to join Russia....just secede andbe your own country. Second, the comment at the end about no rightto secede is just someone's opinion. Secession and Nullification are both perfectlylegal. This nation wasfounded as avoluntary compact and the Constitution would never have been ratified had the States been told they could neverleave.

The land and it's resources belong to the States, but if they want to pack their bags and leave for Russia then I say let 'em.

EddyTheDog 03-27-2014 09:27 AM

I think Sarah P might have something to say about that...

blackmonsters 03-27-2014 10:59 AM

Let the dumb motherfuckers do it.
Their oil money will be wiped out the first day.

Let Obama ok that and then see what they do.

2MuchMark 03-27-2014 11:42 AM

I wonder if, you stand on top of a skyscraper in Russia, could see Sarah Palin flicking her bean from there?

Socks 03-27-2014 11:46 AM

As if the USA would ever give up the taxes.

Rochard 03-27-2014 12:48 PM

Why would anyone in Alaska want to become Russian? They understand they don't read or write Russian, right?

TheSquealer 03-27-2014 01:32 PM

That's like starting a petition for Texas to join France. 4chan strikes again.

Many of America's greatest constitutional legal minds over the past couple of hundred of years disagree with you. The only legal way for a state to secede from the Union is with agreement of the other States or by revolution, which would be put down in about a day and a half.

If you judge by certain public figures from Alaska and their grasp of the world and it's politics maybe they think that Vlad will give them more oil money. :winkwink::1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:thumbsup

Hmm people in South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Virginia, Arkansas, Tennesse, North Carolina and Texas might beg to differ with ya.

Perhaps the 30k who signed are trying to do just that -- induce another 'Crimea'.

Maybe it's Alaska that's in a mood for a fight? :D
