ATTN Program Owners: Someone is signing up to your programs with my info and sending fraud joins

ok, seems some clown is signing up to programs using my cfnmparty.co.uk domain, my whois info, but using [email protected], then sending fraud joins, and using a paxum id for payment:

This is not me: EVERY program I sign up to, I use @cfnmparty co uk

so far they've attempted to sign up to Vivid, where luckily I know Steve quite well and deal with him regularly, who was able to ask me before the account was approved, and they've signed up to peakbucks and sent fraudulent joins.

Fuck knows if they've signed up anywhere else, but please check your databases for the addy [email protected], or cfnmparty@ - this is NOT me and you are going to get fraud joins from this account.

PaperstreetWinston 03-27-2014 05:40 AM

Thanks for the heads up!

We always make it a point to always talk to the affiliate applicant whenever sign ups are from @gmail, @yahoo, @hotmail etc. No one gets approved immediately with those domains ;-)

Jel 03-27-2014 07:26 AM

yeah, though still pretty easy to bullshit your way into being accepted I'd have thought

Hi Jel,

Can you please do me a favor? Can you please ask the programs you've dealt with about this to contact me with info about the Paxum ID of this fraudulent user? We would like to investigate in our system.

Thanks in advance
Ruth :)
[email protected]

Jel 03-27-2014 08:08 AM

both programs have banned/deleted the guy, so not sure whether they can still just pull his info easily.

Hopefully he/she may still be reg'd at other programs who see this thread, and can get the paxum id to you while the info is still there in front of them.

Would be interesting to see if they are a member of this board after a bit of investigative work :)

elliso 03-27-2014 09:36 AM

That is really fun :-) u better hidde your ass well

Thanks Jel. I did hear from one of the affected programs via email just now, and I'm pleased to say that, based on the provided information, we had already closed the account in question for fraudulent activity back in early February.

Ruth for the win - Glad to see you are earning that Business Woman Of The Year Award:thumbsup...

I'm guessing one of your two former partners in IW. Wouldn't trust either of them as far as I could toss 'em...

elliso 03-27-2014 10:16 AM

does paxum offer Free card for affilates?

Axeman 03-27-2014 10:18 AM

Thanks for the heads up Jel. He was not in our system, but nice to be aware and on the lookout.

nah, I highly doubt whoever it is has ever heard of me, spoke to me, etc. all they are doing is using my info to try and send fraud joins and earn $. Coulda been anyone's domain/whois info they used, just so happens 2 programs either knew me, or had seen me on here is all.

Jel 04-02-2014 04:29 AM

ok this cunt is getting accounts of mine disabled left right and centre, luckily so far they have all been low traffic/sales programs that I don't promote heavily, so no real damage has been done aside from the aggro of me contacting to double-check my accounts, and see for themselves that only public whois info gives any kind of association - some more info:

one of the paxum accounts he used is [email protected]

RxxS 04-02-2014 04:32 AM

cfn fake affiliate

this guy as also tend to fuck around on Privatecash. he uses the email account: [email protected] and paxum email: [email protected]

Jel 04-02-2014 04:35 AM

thanks RxxS, and thanks also for quickly reinstating my account when you took a closer look, much appreciated :)

Jel 04-02-2014 04:45 AM

Also, looks like he hit the programs he did sign up to on or around 88 days ago. If you own a program this is worth checking, as he is doing it to both programs I *am* signed up to, and programs I'm not.

greenguy 04-02-2014 04:52 AM

Jel is one of the good ones that's still out there - sucks to see this shit happen to a friend, too. I had a similar situation happen a couple months back, and, oddly enough, Ruth was right on top of that one, too :)

Nickatilynx 04-02-2014 07:58 AM

I agree with HofGreenie ;)

Known Jel years. He is definitely one of the good guys.

MaDalton 04-02-2014 08:12 AM

i thought i had a lead but ojooo.de is a webmail service :(

(never heard of them before)

but feel free to let them know about their fraudulent client: https://ojooo.com/contact.php

seeric 04-02-2014 08:12 AM

He's in our database as attempted sign up.

Ruth can you contact us, I'd like to give you the username and email addy he put for the Paxum so you can check it.

Thanks Eric, I'll email you. If you use Skype please feel free to add me - PaxumRuth

RuthB 04-02-2014 08:36 AM

Program Owners,

When you identify an affiliate as a potentially fraudulent affiliate, and if their payout is Paxum, please take a moment to contact us and let us know.

You can either email us the info directly, or open a ticket in the Message Center of your Paxum account with the information. Please try to provide as much proof/evidence as possible.

We do not allow fraud, and we take swift action when it's identified in our system.

Thanks in advance,

Ruth Blair :)

mate, just post them here. It's not like this clown deserves any privacy, and it might help other program owners if he is using multiple IDs :2 cents:

Ah hell, that guy is at it again? Sorry to hear.

There is only one Jel :winkwink:. We've worked with him for a long time, so hopefully this imposter can be weeded out and not cause any more harm.

Jel 04-02-2014 09:29 AM

Here's the part that is frustrating:

I can go to a program, enter pornhub.com as my domain, use the info here as my contact info: http://whois.domaintools.com/pornhub.com

go and make [email protected]

set up some fake paxum id, and boom, several fraud joins later, programs are going to can pornhubs legit account, apparently...

As unsettling as it is, I don't think this would ever get anyones legitimate account canned. I'm guessing the massive chargebacks, ridiculous conversion rate or something would cause an investigation on that specific affiliate ID and the situation would be obvious to whoever checks it out.

The real loser here is the whole of the community. Fraud is one of these things that make it harder on payment processors and that cost trickles down to everyone. Hitting up Paxum is the best thing you can do though. Scammers identify opportunities like using Paxum to get paid, so every time you can avoid giving them a payout you're deterring that whole community from trying it again.

You'd think so, yet here I am getting legitimate accounts shut down with this *exact* same scenario...

Well I can't hit up paxum can I, because I have no idea some other guy is using my info to sign up to programs, let alone know he is using a paxum ID, or what it even is

Jel 04-02-2014 10:03 AM

And agreed though, hits everyone in the community :(

Oh I was not thinking about reporting the fraudsters paxum, I will.

Jel 04-02-2014 01:47 PM

am I missing something here? why is nobody aside from RxxS willing to post which paxum IDs the guy is using? Surely this will give other program owners reading this thread another term to check in their databases and save them headaches & $$$ without giving away any scam/fraud secrets/procedures?

The Porn Nerd 04-02-2014 03:23 PM

List the IDs!
Help this man out!

If Jel is "one of the good ones" (and I believe he is, by all accounts) then help the man OUT people!

Bump for you Jel. It sucks to feel helpless while someone is fucking with your business and reputation. Good luck.

selena 04-02-2014 03:28 PM

He's not in our affiliate pool, but thanks for the heads up.

Good luck in getting it sorted out. I'm sorry some ass is causing your headaches and wasting your time.

Jel 04-02-2014 04:37 PM

another of his paxum ID's, passed on by a little birdie: [email protected]

While he is a good guy in this case his character is not important as even if he was a bad guy he would not try to scam programs using his own "real" domains. I mean good or bad it is 100% not him, so character feedback is not needed in this case :2 cents:

I love threads like this when you see the industry folks sharing information for the common good.

I looked in our system and nobody has applied using those details. We manually approve accounts so I will keep an eye out.
