I always notice that in your posts, where you hotlink n image, you type 'hotlinked' under the pic...

EXAMPLE

Why is this? I can understand it where the '8chrs' thing comes into play, but what is the reason?

Is it something I'm missing?

So you know there was supposed to be an image there if they have hotlinking disabled as it will be in his cache and display for him on preview whether it will show for anyone else or not.
