No software company can guarantee that a sponsor won't work around their software to get the results they wish to achieve. :2 cents:

Shaving programs are shortterm idiots without business sense. They should die off and in fact eventually will die off. Who wants to promote a 1:20000 program?

Ohw... wait... affiliates still promote 1:20000 programs... and then they only complain about ratios...

Dont nats techs have constant access to the programs server?

EddyTheDog 03-26-2014 03:31 AM

There was a company outed for shaving with NATs some time ago - NATs said at the time that they had never suggested it was shave proof and that it was a line the programmes had used...

Remember who was behind NATs in the first place.....

It's true, I tried shaving with nats and just got insect juice on my face, stick with remington.

Nats was def pitched as shave proof in 2004-2006. It wasnt until more aggressive companies started banging cards & other tactics that they realized it wasn't all that accurate of a sales pitch. You have to remember that this pitch came after the MPA2 news broke that it had a shave feature (mpa2) & nats built up a solid rep by being honest with affiliates etc. which they are. There is no shave feature built in. Only my idea, the "polish shave" or "add a sale" which I suggested back in 2004. I know that some companies were altering the post back URL or something to do with that but those companies are long gone and and been called out here before.

Yeah, it's pretty much impossible.

k0nr4d 03-30-2014 10:20 AM

I don't think there is any built in feature for shaving, but it would be very possible to do. I'm not going to say specifically how as this doesn't need to be public knowledge, but it wouldn't be very difficult. The same goes for any affiliate program software really, not just NATS, as in the worst case data can be manipulated in the db directly...

If you are worried about shaving, then go with programs that use the biller's affiliate programs directly as then no one has access to the database itself.

LeRoy 03-30-2014 10:48 AM

Closing the progam down and keeping the revenue. That's shaving on a whole nother level.

Yikes!!

That's blatant theft, not shaving.

Shaving on any platform is ridiculously easy.
