Whats Your Webserver Stats Program?
With the gorwing choices available for your web usage stats, I am curious to see what people are using to analyze their traffic sources (ie: Webalizer, WebTrends, Wusage, etc...)?
Also, what feature do you like/hate about the stats package your currently using? WG |
I use webalize. It's in written in C so It's fast.
The things I hate..hmm..I can't see referals by domain nor the system identify SE spiders. |

The search spiders I think Webalizer can handle but you might have to custom define them in the config file. WG |

The apache logs are combined. so it write the referrals.
I don't have reverse DNS on...I don't need it. |

In order for C to be fast it should be well coded and designed. Stuff is NOT just fast because itīs in C DynaMite :2 cents: |
Oh..YEs..Urchin rocks!
Urchin is very well categorized and has a kick-ass interface. Urchin is the best for me. But I currently use Webalizer because its free :GFYBand |

webstuff? If so it kills your server performance a LOT!! Write them to a seperate disk or AT LEAST a different partition. DynaMite :2 cents: |
DynaSpain: I start from the beggining that all scripts are well written when they have such popularity...
C is fast...not only for the language itself but also because it is compiled. I store the logs in a separate hard drive. |
I have webalizer. it's fun.

Urchin :thumbsup

With lots of free memory all pages that are read will be cached. Then the writes won't compete against the reads. |
