They all knew what they where and played that role - When they try something else they made a mess of it - Morgan Freeman is a classic example - I love him, but only as Morgan Freeman...

People like Ian McKellen can be anyone - Hopkins can only be Hopkins.....

I like the director and I like Russell Crowe. I'm there.

It's Darren Aronofsky directing Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Anthony Hopkins and Emma Watson...of course I'll be watching.

A biblical story, told by a writer/director who's an atheist...will be interesting indeed.

And of course Aronofsky has Matthew Libatique back as his cinematographer, so the movie is going to look amazing.

I somehow imagind we had a movie like this recently, like months ago, or year ago. Or maybe it was something else. Big blockbuster + religion theme. Anyone knows which one I am thinking of?

I wouldn't be too cynical about this flick. Darren Aronofsky gets final cut, so the studio won't be focus grouping the shit out of this one. Might be the kind of movie that pisses off audiences and the studio who made it. There needs to be more movies like that.
