Documentary fans, INSIDE!!!!

Can we get a thread going where we share Docs we've really enjoyed recently . Im a Doc nut and threads like this always seem to turn up something amazing I haven't seen before. I'll start with a few Ive enjoyed. I think these are all available streaming on Netflix last I checked. These are on the more popular side and have really amazing production value, but if this thread gets rolling, I'll take the time to put some low budget GEMS in here too...

Aside from the stuff I see with the kids, they make up ALL of my movie views these days. Amazing how you can be drawn into to subjects you had no previous interest in if the Doc is well done!

A BAND CALLED DEATH.

three brothers in Detroit start a punk band before punk was punk. They finally get recognition years later. Great story.

A few I've watched recently

Jiro Dreams of Sushi - great movie about a guy with a passion for making sushi.

The Queen of Versailles - follows a well off family trying to build a replica of the Palace of Versailles in Florida when the recession hits and they nearly lose everything they have.

Into the Abyss - Follows the story of two young men who commit a murder in order to get a car and end up in prison/on death row. We meet them in jail then learn their story. Pretty sad, but interesting.

The Act of Killing - A documentary film crew convinces Indonesian death squads to reenact their mass-killings as dramatic Hollywood style productions. Disturbing, but moving.

The Bridge is a good one, it is on Netflix about people who jump off the Golden Gate Bridge, Sad but gives insight into how low people can get, there is one young guy who jumped and actually survived

Also Senna is a great doc as someone mentioned

That would imply that business threads are more popular than non business chat on GFY.
That is, sadly, not true :)

Agree, these two are great.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi was inspiring. I thought I had a good work ethic. That guy's focus should humble anyone.
