Linking to a scene in NATS

Hey,

there are a number of programs that have sites and i would like to link to specific pages within the website, for example scene pages.

Do sites with NATS have a universal system where by you can send traffic to an individual page and it is tracked for hits and sales or would it be different from program to program?

http://www.sitename.com/bigtits/TRAC...2..0.1.0.0.0.0

^ Something like the above

What do you think? Dont want to have to email each program individually, thats all.

Thanks.

Hey Scotty,

Hope this helps: http://wiki.toomuchmedia.com/index.php/Deep_Linking

If it doesn't, or if you need any other info/guidance or would like to make a suggestion on how to improve the functionality feel free to get in touch.

been told by a few different programs that I couldn't just append a deep link after my code - is that incorrect of them?

Is there a way they can 'turn off' that ability to append /deepfolder/ordeep-page.html ?

I'm hoping that's a hard and fast 'rule' for NATS rather than a feature that can be enabled/disabled :)

If you deeplink, make sure to monitor said links. More often than not, a program has changed their URL structure and this can render all of your deeplinks useless.

It certainly would not be the first time that has happened and unless you are monitoring your deeplinks, you will have no idea that a site's URL structure was changed.

Yes, it would be great to get an official answer on this.

Yes, this is of course important. Will be happening.

yup, always set a new campaign, and get some test clicks. Would be nice to know if this is indeed enabled by default, would save a lot of time emailing :thumbsup

The deeplinking isn't something that needs to be enabled or can be disabled.

The issues that can arise with deeplinking are things such as what was mentioned (link structure changes after you setup the deep link), or other issues such as a site/tour that doesn't simply use www.domain.com as the default URL. If for instance the tour's URL was www.domain.com/tour.html and you appended /content.html sending the visitor to www.domain.com/tour.html/content.html wouldn't do anyone any good.

These are the only type of reasons I could imagine an affiliate program not recommending you to use deeplinking. If there is a program you know of asking you not to, or if anyone is unsure about anything I'd be happy to hear and clarify any issues.

Anytime (although I was a bit slower the 2nd time around). If you need anything else please feel free to mention it here or contact me directly.

I'll also be in Phoenix from the 27th to the 29th. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss anything in person.
