Recycling!
What are your views on this fucking waste of time ?
I now have a collection of fugly bins littering my property. I have: 1 x Green Bin (for Green waste) - My garden is small and I fill is perhaps twice a year but they still come round every two weeks to collect it. I usually just have one twig or a few leaves in the bottom. 1 x Grey Bin (for general waste) -They collect every two weeks and despite being a large family they refuse to give me an extra bin. I normally fill this bin 3 days after collection. The rest sits rotting outside my property. 1 x Glass & Metal Bin - The only thing that goes in this is beer and wine bottles (luckily I drink plenty) normally goes out every 2 weeks not weekly like they request. 1 x Brown Bin (for plastics and cardboard) - It's near collection date and I have one piece of tiny cardboard in there. |
Got 3 bins: black, blue, and green.
The green is yard waste, which is filled up by our gardeners. The blue and black are for waste & recycling, respectively. I've been told that they sift through that shit anyways, so I just chuck the rest of my crap into both bins. All bins are checked weekly. |
oh its a waste of your time? well lets just create more and more landfills because you can't be bothered.
the green bins we have here are for everything from yard waste to food waste. i fill the thing almost half full every week with just table scraps. then we have a black bin for paper/cardboard and a blue bin for glass/tin/plastic. we only create one bag of actual garbage every two weeks. |

We can't recyle food waste (and why would you want to? I mean what are you going to turn it into? Paper should be collected monthly or bi monthly (not weekly) Glass / Tin - Same |

our schedule is blue bin one week, black the next. green every week. the only thing i dislike about is in the summer...the green bin fucking stinks. they pick up the regular garbage only every other week. i assume they did this in an effort to get people to use the green bins. |
