A more realistic take on the Malaysian flight and what happened..
http://www.wired.com/autopia/2014/03...ectrical-fire/
Makes a lot of sense. Maybe it's not always a terrorist or whatever. |
Someone linked this on FB this morning. It makes perfect sense. Once again, the media sensationalizing shit in order to get more viewers and scare the public into submission.

This was discussed and ruled out in the very beginning. They were still plotting GPS way points in the nav system, following standard flight corridors that took them way out of the way, well after the fact and after all the erratic maneuvers. They had no intention to land at the nearest airport.
A startlingly simple explanation is that they planned to make it look as if there was a catastrophic event on board through the execution of a series of well thought out and well planned events... and then stole the plane. |

yeah this sounds more realistic than all other bullish theories i heard about

Sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

This seems like a supreme aviation geeks wet dream of a way to kill himself to me.
|
Or maybe it just makes more sense this was terrorism related when know one of the two pilots attended the trial of an opposition leader the day before...
|
Something that doesn't make sense though. Data collected from the engines suggest that there was a possible 5 hours of flight time. They were an hour away from the airport, so the nearest airport would be an hour or less. What would account for the remaining 3 hours of flight time? In order for the engines to transmit data, the plane would have to be A: powered, and B: largely intact. So an incapacitated flight crew, would not have been able to put the plane down relatively intact.

It was an interesting read for sure, another point of view, another possibility.

PIGSHIT
as I have stated in the other thread. This cockpit fire theory is smoke and mirrors. Makes no sense. Whats a lot more obvious is that one mans simple decisions and actions deliberately made this aircraft go bye bye. |
I think all of the talking heads on every media outlet will be feeling dumb with their wild theories, once we finally find some wreckage floating in the ocean. Humans are pretty arrogant as a species to think that just because we can't find wreckage in millions of square miles, that must mean there was no plane crash. Millions of square miles. It's going to take some time, but it'll turn up.

Wasn't there something with the timing of the last voice message that ruled this out - I can't remember exactly...
|
One of the guys on the TV here pretty much came up with the exact same reasoning on day 2 or 3. The media decided to follow up other avenues :)
