Did anybody else see "The Counselor"?

Do you think the Bolo is possible? It would have to be a small, battery powered motor. Do you think a small, battery powered motor would have that much power to cut through the artery like that?

i dont think its possible just some crazy shit made up for a movie :2 cents::2 cents::2 cents::2 cents:

CourtneyR 03-18-2014 01:45 PM

who knows, could be possible.

Wasn't big on that movie.

deltav 03-18-2014 04:11 PM

Haven't seen it yet, but Cormac McCarthy's one of my favorite writers and this was his first screenplay (tho other movies like No Country For Old Men have been made from his books). I was kinda looking forward to it, y'alls didn't like it tho?

I liked it ok. A couple of uncomfortable sex scenes that I didn't like. But I liked the general story ok and it had a couple of good scenes.

Horribly made movie with nothing explained and way too much of that oscarlike talking.

Bolo = entirely possible.

stickyfingerz 03-18-2014 04:51 PM

Absolutely possible and a little scary in its simplicity to do it honestly. I have a feeling we are going to see someone make and use one on someone.

Knew the bolo was gonna be used as soon as it was explained near the beginning.

McCarthy is one of my favorite writers as well and it has an amazing cast, but I have stayed away from this movie so far. It got destroyed by the critics and only has a 34% on Rotten Tomatoes

I watched the piece of shit 2 days ago.

It erks me that I didn't watch it for 3 days after picking it up from RedBox. Wasn't worth the 1 day rental price, let alone 3. :2 cents:

Movie is good and worth watching. I like those mobsters with their doom philosophy. Also, throughout whole movie, I couldn't decide if Cameron Diaz is ugly or sexy.

I just had/have a feeling I was going to be disappointed. At this point unless it comes on Netflix streaming I am probably going to avoid it.

Did you ever see the episode of Seinfeld where he is dating a woman who looks amazing in one light and terrible in another? She reminds me of that. I will see a pic or video of her and she looks fantastic then I see another from a slightly different angle and not so much.

even if on netflix, not worth your time ... very pretentious flick :2 cents:

John-ACWM 03-19-2014 03:08 AM

I think that could be possible. As for the movie, I expected much more from it with the director and that great cast. It was OK to watch, just nothing special. I think Cameron Diaz did a great job acting.

seeandsee 03-19-2014 03:42 AM

must watch that shit :)
