How would you monetize HMO.com
 

I just talked to someone I see all the time at a local cigar shop. I know he's into a lot of things on the web and he told me he owns the domain HMO.com. I'm sure if I could come up with a way to properly monetize it, I could get something going on this. I'm sure he could sell it, but I think he likes long term things better.

So the question is, does anyone know how to monetize it? Is there a way to make money from healthcare sign ups, anything like that?

I would think he could join some mainstream affiliate sites and look at *healthcare* to find some products to promote.

Build the site, get some traffic, then likely strike deals with health care companies direct to make the biggest money per lead after site is decent.

Ya, especially with all the healthcare stuff going on right now. I'm sure there's people looking for how it affects hmo's etc and what they need to buy.

If he hasn't figured out by now what to do with it then he'll never get started, forget about long term. He should sell it for mid-7 figures, that sounds a lot more long term to me.
It reminds me of KRL who tried to monetize men.com by making it a magazine like Details. Now its just a porn site with stock content.

Yeah, im not saying its not worth that or more. I'm just saying the guy isn't just some random domain owner. He knows what its worth.
