Who were the first "-cash", "-bucks" and "-dollars"?
 

I was browsing thru hundreds of affiliate programs today, and started thinking about their names. All of them has "-cash", "-bucks" or "-dollars" in their names.

Can someone of the veterans please tell us which programs were the first for each one of those three? :) I'm curious to know.

TopCash? MaxCash?

signbucks?

I get that those naming styles started during the gold rush years where everyone was looking for a piece of the pie, but they always sounded ghetto to me. Have wondered when it would die out, not yet apparently....

Flashcash is from the late 90s. Maxcash was probably a bit earlier - I actually think I still have a check from them that I forgot to cash :)

Cybererotica was fun back in the day. The per click program was sooo easy to make money with.

One of the first sponsors I ever promoted, aside from the already mentioned Maximum Cash, was OxCash back in 2000-2001.

ClickCash/Maxcash - TopBucks - Not sure about Dollars - Nasty perhaps...

I'm not sure what this is suppose to mean. If you are suggesting that Max Cash started in 2000 because that is when the Way Back Machine starts with it then I respectfully state that to be incorrect.

I believe they opened in 1996. I started working there in 2005 and they were already old skool at that stage.

CE was the first or second adult affiliate program, i believe.

fastcash (ce) and clickcash in 1996.
maxcash came in mid/late 97 I believe.

cybererotica.com/money was the URL of the first major program - run by ron levi, around late 95 if i remember

2 cents per raw click back in the days when you charged $9.95 per month for a single page of pictures (no video) and people sent you credit card numbers (no cvv back then) via email or you used 1-900. Good days - better if you were featured on persian kittys links ;-)

Yeah, CE, max, flashcash, etc. I don't know if Maxcash was my first sponsor but it was certainly one of the first. That was 97-98ish.

A lot of other programs mentioned in this thread were late to the party by comparisson.

Max Cash opened in 95, after CEcash I believe, SergesCash, Dollarmachine (Python), Do not think the General used any of those, Babenet, I Gallery, CEN

I was thing about Python - I would guess the 3 earliest where MaxCash, CE and Python - ClickCash maybe...

The AVS sites must be included as well - UGAS made me rich.....

They have a creation date of March 99 in their whois. Doesn't mean they were not around before that but their domain wasn't.

CECash shows as Sep 99 in the whois.

But whois must have some bad info, I built my first free site in August of 97, and MaxCash was one of my sponsors, I started working for them in February of 99, and they were already a powerhouse by then.

i started later in adult...05 and I remember SilverCash being huge back then. not sure when they started

That isn't to say others weren't but the number of times I heard 'you were my first sponsor' was telling.

In my own head, I see programs like ND as the second wave.

eroticcash was super old paying like 17 cents per click at one point . they also opened ezgreen paying for email addys

topcash was one of my firsts too. they used ctc and paid per click and eventually changed to topbucks

amateurpages (lensman) and trafficcashgold were also some super oldies
