I did it years ago - The script was pretty shitty though and it wasn't that helpful...

Yes, I've made extensive use of heat mapping in the past, studying "The Big F" and learning about folks' actual surfing patterns -- not guesses, or stats analysis, but seeing what users actually do on a specific page -- and how very few actually scroll past the fold...

Installed a heat-map plugin on WP the other day, didn't know it tracked the mouse too, very useful info started to appear :thumbsup
