for many years in the uk people did the football pools.

i was wondering if they did this i=ever in the usa with american football.

No. No one here in the US bets on Football, or Soccer for that matter.

football pool where you pick the teams and most right wins, like the gfy pool that is done every single year? No never been done. We only bet on tennis here

I've done super bowl squares (http://www.footballsquares.net/pages/help) but unless you get a lot of people involved it's not that fun.

Super Bowl ones are the best, but I'll usually jump in a few between different sports

Oh, no...not that...LOL...there's only a GFY Football Pool...it ended about 5 weeks ago, though....better luck next season!

I might have started a small one maybe 15 years ago, kinda blew up crazy with everyone asking to add people. Ran it for a few years and then killed it off as got too big and didn't want an electronic trail of $ and chasing people down for $ got old along with the work of it.
