There are animal experiments in medicine because it's the continuation of many many many decades.of research. You can't just randomly change the test subjects as it would be starting all over again. It's not like they are doing it for personal amusement. A huge body of cancer research is based on beagles, for example. Don't like it? Then when you or someone you love gets cancer, refuse treatment to show how ethically perfect you are.

I know it happens, but I don't want to see it - I am happy to live in ignorant bliss when it comes to shit like this...
