    Question Regarding Model Release and Custodian Of Records.....

    I know the deal on having a custodian of records and model release and age info on your site but I am pushing a webcam sponsor. They give you the option of using their pics from the site but no model release etc. I don't even see them linking to them.

    Here's my question, If I am using these pics do I need to worry about that? I have to use the real girls in my promotions because I link directly to their cam page, bios, etc. I don't use any adult pics at all just a few in sexy clothes.

    Also, if someone did have a problem with it not having the proper releases etc what would the feds be worried about? Me taking them down or putting my ass in jail?

    Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

    Edited to add: I don't push a paysite with these. It's all pushing a sponsor. Thanks again.

      Best thing is to ask a lawyer.

      Your only real concern is to verify that the girls are over age and they agreed to be plastered over the net. Recently had a girl complain about her pictures being on the net and threatening to sue me.

      I emailed her a copy of the model release, have not heard from her since.

          Yes, the site I promote mainly is Ifriends. They verify the age and consent to being exposed on the net to do cam shows unless they specify otherwise. All Ifriends asks is that if you get a complaint from the girl you respect their wishes and remove the content. With tens of thousands of girls on the site that is no problem.

          I'm just curios as to what kind of trouble you could get in if someone pressed the issue. Is it a simple slap on the wrist or jail time. Thanks.

              Stocktrader, just shoot iFriends an email. I am sure somebody that large has their ass well covered. They probably state on or near the front page that they obey USC 18, 2257 (The 18 or older bit of United States Code).

                  On my CC pages, I just hotlink a 2257 notice right to iFriends' own notice - http://www.ifriends.net/copyrite.htm#certificate. If you ask me, it's stupid to present the text of the 2257 cert directly on your own pages, because then you damn well could be held responsible. IOW, link to theirs, don't roll your own, and you're safe from any bullshit.
