gaining inspiration
 

i notice when i design i work in phases... sometimes i'll be really inspired to bust out something kickass... then i'll get burned out and not wanna fuck w/ shit for awhile. which i assume is a pretty typical thing amongst designers...

what about you other people? programmers? webmasters? how does it work for you??

It's what I call: "the bullshit factor." You know, as an artist, you have a certain level of patience that you sort of ride out to that particular 'zone' you get into when creating. I know you know what I'm talking about. It's a little harder to notice when you're working on the computer, but it's still there.

After you ride out that patience, and you come down from the high of the 'zone', you're pretty much drained of any patience to ride out to start again.

That's why some artists can draw whole fucking murals while other can only draw individual characters at a time. It's the individual's "patience-factor".

Just my theory, though. I need to fucking sleep.
