Streamate requiring b-line browser on mobile

Has this always been the case?

A mobile user is now required to install the b-line browser app before they can view streamate or it's white labels.

Surprised there aren't more people speaking out on this. Do you drive mobile traffic to streamate or any affiliate?

I can't see how these referrals get credited if the user has to install another browser.

85% of my uniques are new and 50% of my traffic is mobile. That is a whole lot of missing referral codes.

So we lose referrals for every iphone customer sent to streamate?

Send an iPhone safari user -> has to install b-line -> then what? User goes back to website and clicks again?

I hate to shift gears and change the subject here... But what prompted you to give up rocket science for streamate white labels?

I just don't think it's ethical. Any webmaster who refers a new user to a streamate property from an iphone without b-line will never receive credit. Even if the individual signs up and spends like a "whale".

Your big concern is that streamate is ripping you off and "unethical", by allowing users to sign up in flash and watch video in flash and chat in flash on devices which are incapable of playing flash?

Does your mom know you're posting unsupervised on an adult messageboard?

U get credit if they open your white label in bline

Streamate.com has developped an app for the iPhone called B-Line Browser. It's a way for them to get around iPhone's Flash limitation by converting the stream into a format supported by Apple. How do I know that browser was developped specifically for Streamate? If you check any other Flash streaming sites, they won't work on this browser, only SM and their affiliates.

No. The concern is that when the user opens b-line after a fresh install they leave the original referral code in the URL behind. There is no cookie that b-line could read either. The only way to get credit from Streamate for an iPhone user is if you are sending traffic to your own white label. Otherwise you are simply handing over a customer.
