Anyone investing in Marijuana stocks?
 

I noticed a bunch of Marijuana and Hemp related stocks rising the last 2 months, thinking about taking my profits from 2013 and buying some shares of each one.

Too much pump and dump going on :2 cents:

'Marijuana stocks' are penny stocks and in general, they're terrible investments. Trade them very, very carefully. Often the fundamentals of the companies are atrocious, but the marijuana hype can jack up the market cap of a steaming POS to outrageous valuations in short order, the "pump" phase. Jumping in at this point is extremely risky. Losing 50% or more of what you put in within minutes is very common. Get in before the pumps, and then dump on chumps.

if i were "investing" as opposed to speculating/trading, i would buy philip morris in anticipation they get into the marijuana biz. they have the money, experience with a regulated plant, & marketing power to be a big player in the industry. & they can certainly "spike" their product with more addictive things & make their product better than just organic grows.

just IMO.

Made 4x return on CBIS over the last year. Of course now wish I invested everything. Shoulda, coulda, woulda.

crazy ass valuations, pink sheet stock scams popping up every week....shoulda, woulda, coulda.... i wish i was riding this wave.

On most of these I plan on purchasing 2,500 - 100,000k shares of each, worst scenario you lose your initial investment. Where only 2 months into the hype, this is just the beginning in my opinion.

I usually stay away from penny stocks, and more of a short term technical chart trader, but the high risk in these stocks...will give you monster rewards with patience. I don't plan on trading these stocks just accumulating more on dips.

Not sure if guys follow this one....but trading has been insane.

I wouldn't consider it a serious investment and use money I might need one day, its pretty much playing the lottery. I'm working on a site promoting medical marijuana that I hope has good traffic in a few months.

I have a similiar project with a great domain, but looking into the legal matters first of promoting the subject, and since I am incorporated in NY where its not legal. My project is regarding funding, linking investors to the industry. I am looking into starting a company in Colorado to be completely legit, I am not looking for any lawsuits.

I am not a smoker, so I have a disadvantage of getting involved with a subject I know little about, so I have friends for consulting...
