What I do:

Go to work, call her maybe 2 times, she calls me maybe 2 times.
Come home (she is usually here waiting).
Eat with her.
Sleep with her (she stays until like 5am every day).
wake up and call her to say goodmorning.
have no social life AT ALL because she starts a fucking war if i even mention a friend.
sit on pc all night until its like 4am and i have to be at work at 7:30.

Cleans my 3 rabbit cages every 2 days.
Shovels my driveway of snow.
Mows my lawn in spring.
She laid new tile in my kitchen (i helped but she bought it and did most work).
Washes my car twice a week by hand inside and out.
Puts up with my porn biz but refuses to pose nude.

Second, if you're happy then who cares what other people say. Your friend might just be jealous of your close relationship (or upset that she won't let you hang out with him).

Look, if you really want to go out with your buds, it's an easy thing to ease into.

Step 1. Start having them over for coffee/cocktails like once or twice/month.
Step 2. Increase frequency of step 1.
Step 3. Have a friend invite both of you out.

Basicaly, get her used to just going out with friends. Show her that they're not the a-holes she thinks they are.

Step 4. Go out w/out her.
