Mr. Skin Parent SK Intertainment Inc. Acquires Fleshbot
 

SK Intertainment, the parent company behind internet powerhouses Mr. Skin, Mr. Man, and Naked News, has announced the acquisition of the popular adult website, Fleshbot.com.

Launched in 2003 by Gawker Media, Fleshbot has long been the web?s favorite source for news and reviews from the world of sex and adult entertainment. Over the past decade, the site has garnered attention for its smart take on sex, and has been profiled in such publications as Wired and The New Yorker.

"Fleshbot is a site we've followed for years and one that fits in nicely with our growth plan", said SK Intertainment COO Sam Rakowski. "We are excited to leverage our talent and resources to improve an already well-established product. Both readers and partners of the site can expect big improvements in the coming months."

Editor and publisher Lux Alptraum, who has owned Fleshbot since 2012, added,

?After six years of working with Fleshbot, I?m excited to move on to new challenges. I know that SK Intertainment will take the site to brand new heights, and I?m thrilled to be leaving it in such capable hands.?

Fleshbot.com used to be huge, and looked good.

It does not look as good these days.

I hope you did not pay much as I do not think its worth as much as it once did.

I would say about 5 years ago this site was BIG. But the tubes seem to have taken most of its traffick.

It probably still is a good site, but to be honest, its not that exciting.

I would sugest nakednews is the most exciting thing, if its done well.

It could have huge scope, but its very easy to mess up with.

Its a small world. It was about three years ago, I made them an offer to buy the site. At the time they focused their attention on their other assets.

Fast forward, November 2013 I am sitting on a New York flight to LA, and who is sitting next to me, a mid level Executive from Gawker. For a conversation piece, we discussed FleshBot.

In the right hands it has so much potential. Sam congratulations. :thumbsup

Yeaa......I think mixing the gay and straight content was a mistake. Im sure skin will "Straighten" this situation out.
