What is the Adult Industry scene in Phoenix Scottsdale area? Shooters?
Guys,
I am thinking about going to AZ to shoot an upcoming adult film. What is it like there for models, locations, costs etc? I plan to bring all my own gear so I don't need that. Just wondering if the houses (good ones) are cheaper there and if the LAW is cool about it. Can any shooters jump in with advice? I am just starting to research this so I really know next to nothing :) Thanks :thumbsup |
The houses are no cheaper than LA, and you can't tell them you're using the house for an adult shoot, if you do fess up there's not much chance they'll rent to you. There's not much privacy in the backyards unless you are out in the sticks or renting a mansion.

Shoot houses with permits in LA are $100 an hour minimum. Girls are kinda tough to get, but it's not impossible. You should talk to Dave from Gloryhole Swallow. :2 cents: |

If Nubiles and FTV haven't been busted yet you should be good as long as you don't shoot outside where nosey neighbors can see. |
Pretty sure a ton of porn is shot in AZ and nobody has ever been arrested and convicted for it. I can't imagine it costs the same as LA to rent a place, that seems far fetched.

"Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery has said in the past that he will prosecute pornography cases police bring to his office, but he references anti-prostitution statutes as his primary tools." The DA is saying not in my town. He's not going to search out these cases but if he gets one he's going to go hard in the paint, no pun intended. Who wants to be the Harold Freeman of Arizona ? Like in NH I think there are great First Amendment arguments as to why porn production should be legal but expect to pay 6 figures in lawyers fees to get to that point. Who has that kind of money anymore. I would say AZ and especially Phoenix is not porn friendly. |
