So I have been having my Valentines meal with my lovely wife. Scallops followed by Duck L'Orange and the conversation got onto the subject of why women don't watch porn.

These were the bullet points from the conversation

• I would prefer to watch a woman masturbate rather than a couple or a guy
• Teen boys introduce teen girls to porn. A girl would never actively search for it herself
• Discussing the couples we know, we agreed hat we can imagine the men all watch porn given the chance but the women - no way!

Anyway, why do women not search porn. It it inbuilt into their genetic makeup? Is it the way they were raised? - With guys it's all phwoar, get in their son and with girls it's all pretty pink flowers and roses?

The problem is, most porn is produced by dudes for dudes. The vast majority it's pretty obvious they have no idea what women enjoy and/or have no interest in presenting it.

Not so say women only like the stereotypical soft-focus and roses kinda "tasteful" material - many do enjoy explicit raw sex - but IMO the standard porno misses the mark by a long shot when it comes to your average woman and what turns her on.

The GF has explained it to me like this. She is a pretty visual person and she likes looking at pictures of good looking guys etc. She even enjoys watching videos of guys jerking off. When it comes to actual porn she likes the more romantic stuff. The stuff where the scenes portray both the guy and the girl having a pleasurable time.

As she puts it, most porn is either about how much jizz can be splattered on a girl, how much you can shove in her holes, how hard you can fuck her or how badly you can degrade her. In many cases the girls simply don't look like they are really enjoying it.

She wants to be able to put herself in the woman's position and feel like she would like what is happening and most porn doesn't allow for that.

To me the bigger question is women paying for porn. More and more women are watching porn, but it seems like very few of them are willing to pay for it.

I guess it's society standards that make most women hide it very well, that's all.
Regardless of whether or not they are in a relationship - women do watch porn, most on a regular basis. And most of those don't search for any "Female-friendly" porn.
They enjoy porn differently though, choosing scenes that tell a story, not just straight up sex. But regardless, they do, whether it is obvious or not.
